my groupies of the day...riding double...

161 km.....just another day, of lengthy cycling...or as i now have named it bikling. The mixture of two.
Today we left on time... like 7 ish, or maybe even earlier...can't quite recall as now the days are beginning to blur into one. Jenna, Annette, Jonathan, Jeff, (Hilena at the beginning), Denise, Eric and Heidi for the last 20 k, and our loverly caboose of all times. In a little town of Postalia we stopped for some lovely coffee and an apple turnover, at the local bakery. It was at the 70 k mark and we just had a lovely time sitting, chatting with the locals, and relaxing for we put in almost half of the day by 10 am. It is now funny how we now are thinking that 160 is a shorter day...can't wait for the 75 days, and we will be done before noon. Actually our intent, on those days is to take our time, and go to all the local towns along the way to chat with the locals and let them know about the tour. Word is definitely getting out, for people now see us and say, HEY, I SAW SOMETHING ABOUT YOU ON THE NEWS LAST NIGHT!....It is quite cute to see how the people respond to us, and get excited.
We have left Iowa, the lands of flowing corn, to come into Wisconsin, the land of flowing corn...intermingled with the smells of farms you have before you the ultimate ride of your life.

WELCOME TO WISCONSIN!
Eating lunch in Wisconsin, not much different then the last state..
Today we played leap frog with Gerry and Jake, as well we stopped and picked up a slow moving vehicle sign that was in the ditch and attached it to Gerry's bike, amusingly enough, Jake informed us, we should have picked up the plastic sorts, this one would be too heavy to transport to Jersey...

Gerry and his new, important sign.
In a day, we pass the same people, for we stop then go, and pass people, stop then go, and pass the same people...and on it goes, generally its taken pretty well, and in good fun.

Jonathan, and in almost super tuck mode! Looked so funny that i needed a shot of it....for memories.
Riding the great big fish, just after the border of Wisconsin...but this fish, bit my bum, and put a whole in my spandex right to the chamois land...there goes a pair of spanx.
