Theresa and I
SUPER T day, or ... THERESA day
All day I rode with Theresa, at the first sag stop (Julie), Matt and Hilena joined us. We had an beautiful ride together, taking our sweet time through the rolling hills and just thoroughly enjoying a ride closer to 100 k then 200k...wow have we ever gone far this week..
Theresa has also shared my tent for the last two nights...long days equals no time for some people to set up, so I offered to her some space on the floor between my fabric walls.
FABRIC WALLS : we can still hear everything...snoring, farting, talking, whispering...you must choose your neighbors carefully...most of the time there is no choice...you just set your tent up, and go shower by the end of the long day. It is not until morning that you wished you were thinking a little clearer when you set up your tent in sweaty spandex...
It rained this morning, 2nd day for that stuff to fall from the sky upon us cyclist.
When we reached a small town called, MT. Horeb, we were greeted with graciousness...a owner of a local shop offered us free beverages and baked goods...it was lovely of her to do this for us, and the cyclists.
The bike path we took was hard packed sand/gravel, but it was a lovely ride through the bush.
It made me feel like i was in Ontario!

In the last 10k i had 2 flats due to GLASS... i just picked it up from the road. At the end of the ride we met at a local park...all sea to sea cyclists, at 2:30 and road into the church together. Talk about massive amounts of cyclists blocking the roadways.

In the afternoon-evening, they had shuttles for us to go to the showers at a local high school (for we are staying in the yard of Crossways Church), as well as to the laundromat.
OH, and thanks for the MAIL, Bouma's, Jer, and MOM.... YEAH i got mail finally!! It was very nice to receive snail mail.
