saturday - ontario to boise

108 km, across the border into idaho

WELCOME TO IDAHO

Today I rode with Aaron, Ryan, Hilena and Stef. More people started the day with goat's heads flats, so we decided we would carry our bikes out to the front of the school, across the huge parking lot. There is always lots of debris, broken glass, and blown weeds in the parking lots of schools, so we always need to be on the lookout so as to not pop our inner tubes.

WE left shortly after 8 this morning and went through the fields of growing vegetables, corn, onions, lettuce... and all other sorts of produce (the onion fields leave a prominent smell in your nose as you pass by, sometimes though you can't pass fast enough). the ride required some attention to road signs and making sure you can follow instructions for there were some people who did take 'alternate routes' / got lost....

WE crossed the border into idaho, and kept on cruising through the farmlands and cow fields.

SATURDAY, i am sooo excited today is saturday, which means tomorrow we have the day off!
This week, has again flown by, and my brain is somewhat done for the day. I really just need a break from the saddle, for the weeks are about to get longer...next week is longer everyday and a lot more climbing since we are heading into the rockies....oh the glorious rockies...
