BOISE weekend

The weekend went unbelievably fast. Due to the fact that when you arrive into camp on Saturday afternoon, set up your tents and bed, and clean up yourself, Saturday is almost complete. Saturday evening we went out to a local place to say our good byes to Joel, who is leaving the tour after two weeks of enjoying cycling with all of us. He is going back to school to do his PhD. Sunday presented itself with sun, the bright burning ball of flame, with no clouds in site. After breakfast we biked to have church in the park (about 5km away). After church in the park I went over to the local bike shop (yes - Op zondag) and had my bike tuned up, it was making a funny noise, and no i can't repeat or put sound to that noise on this blog. Then back to the school we were staying at. Upon return, Steph and I were asked to go 'looking' for a place to swim. We ended up biking another 5k or so to get to the river entrance where there were loads of people pumping up flotation devices so that they could float down this fast moving river. WE looked into renting a rubber dingy, or something to hold us up...and the ride was to take over two hours with a shuttle back to the start. We didn't have enough time for that so instead, we threw our bodies into the current and floated down to where we could crawl out, I only managed to do this two times with Laura and Anne, Stephanie managed one time. This water is glacier water. It is absolutely, positively FREEZING, you get insta-goosebumps when you go in. My toes ached so much when I was just trying to walk into this water. Despite the freezing temperatures of the water, we definitely needed it to cool down, and it did feel lovely after the fact. The rest of the day continued as normal, back to camp for supper, then i ran with Alex and Hilena, went to peleton, then small groups. This leads to getting ready for the next day and bed...and or phonecalls if you need to make them :) Mom and Dad...i will try to get a phone card sometime along this trip, for now emails is where it's at.
All is well here for the seatosea people. No major mishaps or presentable problems....although Kaitlyn has to get a new frame (at least it is under warranty), she broke part of her carbon frame.
